The two-year CCIF award to Lehman College is supporting the Tuition Assistance Program Awareness Plan (TAPAP), a high-tech holistic aid program comprised of four components: a CUNY-specific Student Financial Services learning program; a multilingual online orientation to help parents and guardians support their children through the financial aid process; a NYS Aid Early Intervention Program; and a personalized NYS Aid Report Card.

The two-year CCIF award to Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter is supporting A Housing Solution for Homeless College Students, which aims to provide housing to homeless college students, enabling them to focus on their academic and personal goals.

The two-year CCIF award to Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow, in partnership with the CUNY School of Professional Studies, is supporting On-Ramps: Creating Credential-to-Degree Connections in Tech Sector Career Pathways. This project addresses barriers to college completion among students in OBT’s technology certification programs by increasing momentum and re-engaging stopouts by means of college credit for training and credentials, credit for prior learning, career pathways mapping, and career coaching.

The two-year CCIF award to Queensborough Community College is supporting QCC XL, Closing Gaps, Reimagining Possibilities, which intends to close the equity gap that exists for QCC’s black male students by re-engaging and re-enrolling some of those who have stopped out, while providing them with such supports as cohorts led by peer mentors and classes taught by male faculty members of color.

The two-year CCIF award to uAspire is supporting a pilot that will introduce a more proactive and preventative approach to assisting those postsecondary students who have stopped out or are at significant risk of doing so. The project combines an in-depth targeted advising curriculum with emergency financial assistance to both address some of the barriers that prevent stopouts from re-enrolling, and establish a model that seeks to reduce the number of future stopouts.
