Our role is to focus attention on key indicators of college readiness, access and success; align efforts; advocate for changes in policy and practice; and increase data transparency.

More than three-quarters of these students are from low-income households. In the fall semester of 2014, there were 224,000 undergraduate degree-seeking students enrolled across CUNY’s 18 undergraduate colleges. Nearly three-quarters of CUNY students are graduates of NYC DOE high schools.

New York City’s public education institutions are making progress in all 2020 Goal categories and this progress generally extends across racial groups. However, more progress is necessary in order to meet the 2020 Goals.
