Services

Services

Based on the direct service organizations surveyed, more than two thirds of the programs available provide college readiness services*. Some of these services include: ACT/SAT/PSAT preparation, college campus visits and exploration, and tutoring/academic support. About half the programs indicated that they provide college matriculation (e.g., college application help, placement test preparation), retention (e.g., academic/degree planning, mentoring, financial support), and/or career preparation services (e.g., career counseling, resume/interview preparation).

Each of the maps displayed here illustrate the neighborhoods/communities served by community-based programs that provide college readiness, matriculation, and retention, and career preparation services. In each map, the varying degrees of color demonstrate the number of these programs serving that particular neighborhood/community.

* These statistics are based on the 191 programs that serve individuals directly and responded to the survey as of 06/30/2016
